In 2011, the Gaffar family van was broken into at Las Cuevas Beach. Items were missing. But what stayed with Baari wasn't the loss — it was the helplessness.
They'd parked in a public spot. In broad daylight. And had no idea it was happening. No alert. No warning. Nothing.

Baari shortly after started the company with one clear belief: every person in Trinidad and Tobago deserves to know their vehicle is safe — and if it isn't, they deserve to know immediately, and to have a team ready to act.

A former mathematics educator with deep expertise in Linux and Windows server administration, Baari built Gaffar GPS on a technical-first philosophy. Where other providers install off-the-shelf products, Baari engineers the hardware, codes the proprietary firmware, and architects the backend software himself.
